About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Wake Up Productions Limited (“WUP”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit piersmorgan.tv and the Club Uncensored website, including pages hosted on beehiiv that support Club sign-up and membership (the “Website”). WUP is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13490132.
Some cookies and similar technologies involve the processing of personal information, such as online identifiers, IP addresses, device information and information about how you use the Website. Please read the Club Uncensored Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect, use, share and protect personal information relating to Website visitors and members of the Club, the lawful bases on which we process it, how long we retain it and the rights available to individuals.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that may be placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies and similar technologies can be used for a range of purposes, including enabling a website to operate, remembering preferences, maintaining a signed-in session, supporting security and fraud prevention, and helping website operators understand how visitors use their services. We also use similar technologies, including pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device. In this Cookie Policy we refer to all of these as “cookies”.
Cookies may be set by us or by the operator of another service used on the Website. Cookies set by us are called “first-party cookies”, while cookies set by another provider are called “third-party cookies”. Some cookies expire when you close your browser (“session cookies”), while others remain on your device for a specified period or until you delete them (“persistent cookies”).
The categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies and similar technologies are essential to transmit a communication or to provide a service that you have expressly requested. They may, for example, support security, authentication, member sign-in, session management, initiating, securing and completing a Stripe checkout and the recording of your cookie choices. We do not ask for consent to use these technologies where an applicable PECR exception applies. They cannot be disabled through our cookie controls, although you may be able to block them using your browser settings.
Analytics and attribution technologies. These technologies help us understand how visitors and members use the Website, for example which pages are visited, how users move around the Website and whether technical problems occur. We use this information to measure performance and improve the Club, our content and services, and may use UTM parameters, vanity URL redirects, first-touch attribution and analytics or reporting connected with beehiiv, Stripe and Club sign-up or checkout.
Unless a statutory exception under PECR applies, we use analytics and attribution technologies only after obtaining your consent through the consent mechanism described below. Where we rely on a statutory exception for technologies used solely to collect statistical information about use of our service with a view to improving it, the technology will not be used for advertising, cross-service tracking or unrelated profiling, we will provide clear information about its use, and we will provide a simple and free means of objecting. The cookie table identifies the approach used for each relevant technology.
Functional cookies. These technologies enable optional features or remember choices, such as language, display or media-player preferences and other enhanced functionality. We use them with your consent unless the use falls entirely within a statutory exception under PECR, including the exception for adapting the appearance or functionality of the service to a user’s preference. Where we rely on that exception, we will provide clear information and a simple and free means of objecting. If you do not allow or object to these technologies, some optional features may not operate as intended.
Advertising and marketing cookies. We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If such a technology is introduced, it will be identified in the table below and, where consent is required, will not operate unless and until you provide that consent. If we introduce technologies used to create profiles, measure advertising or show tailored advertising or content, we will update this Policy and obtain consent before using them where required.
Cookies and similar technologies used on the Website
The table below describes the cookies and similar technologies currently used on the Website, including their providers, purposes and durations. The technologies that operate on a particular visit may depend on the pages or features you use, whether you are signed in as a member and the choices you make through the consent mechanism.
Some Club or newsletter emails may contain pixels, tracked links or similar technologies that provide information about delivery, opening or interaction. The table identifies any such technologies and their purposes. Where storage of or access to information on a device requires consent, we will not use the technology unless that consent has been obtained. You may also be able to limit email tracking through your email-client settings. Where an email preference or other control is available for these technologies, we will explain how to use it. If you unsubscribe from a newsletter or marketing communication, you will not receive future editions of that communication and no tracking technology will operate through communications that are no longer sent to you.
Your choices
Where a technology requires consent it will not be used unless and until you provide that consent through the cookie controls made available on the Website. Those controls will allow you to accept or reject consent-based technologies and make choices by category.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the Website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn. Once your choice has been applied, we will cease using the relevant consent-based technologies on that device or browser, although withdrawing consent will not automatically delete information already lawfully collected. You can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings.
The Website and Cookie Policy should go live together with the control mechanism. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking or deleting cookies through your browser may affect the operation of the Website. In particular, blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent member sign-in, account security, Stripe checkout or other requested functionality from working properly.
Where we use a statistical or appearance technology without consent under an applicable statutory exception, you may object through the Cookie Settings tool or by contacting [email protected]. We will provide a simple means of objecting free of charge and will explain any effect that the objection may have on optional Website functionality.
Embedded content and third-party services
The Website is hosted and operated on beehiiv, with Stripe used for Club checkout. It may also contain content or functionality provided by third parties, such as embedded video, audio, event-booking, payment or social-media services. Where embedded content would cause a technology requiring consent to store or access information on your device, we will configure that content, or use an equivalent consent mechanism, so that the relevant technology does not load unless and until you provide consent. If you choose to play embedded content, the relevant provider may receive information about your device and your interaction with that content. If you are signed in to the provider’s service, it may associate that information with your account.
The cookie table identifies the relevant provider, purpose and duration where its technologies operate on the Website. We remain responsible for ensuring that storage or access technologies deployed through our Website are appropriately identified and controlled, even where they are supplied by a third party. We take reasonable steps to assess relevant third-party integrations before implementation and review them periodically and when we become aware of a material change to their configuration. The Website may also contain links to third-party websites or services, such as merchandise, ticketing, event-booking, payment or social-media services. If you follow one of these links, cookies and similar technologies used on the third party’s service are controlled by that third party and are described in its own cookie or privacy notice. This does not apply where a third-party technology is embedded in, or loads directly through, our Website, in which case that technology should be described in the table above.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the Website, the technologies we use or applicable law. We will publish the updated version on the Website and revise the “Last updated” date. If we introduce a new non-essential purpose, or make another change for which existing consent is no longer sufficiently specific or informed, we will obtain fresh consent before using the relevant technology.
